Just wanted to report another great weekend from the youth group! Just to recap, this past Friday we had a Bible Study about Baptism. Personally, I feel like I learned a lot while I prepared it, but I am hoping that our students may have learned just a little more as well. I would ask you to encourage your kids to really consider baptism and confirmation as it is a something that is very sacred and beautiful in our faith. Please have discussions with them about things we do on Fridays and Sundays. And these discussions can be used to keep us accountable in what we do and why we do it while also serving as a way we all can participate in this ministry together. Then on Sunday we had our normal service and I had the honor to begin our sermon series on the Holy Spirit. Then, as we do every week, we split off into our small groups to discuss what we had learned.

Also, just something that may be good to know or just to let you know, we have changed little things in our worship in order to emulate the EM worship service. This is because we want transition in the future into the EM to be as smooth as possible. Specifically, we have added the reciting of the Apostles' Creed and at the end we added a doxology. It doesn't seem like much, but as the EM may or may not change their order of worship, we will be doing the same. 

This upcoming Friday will be praise and prayer night! We highly encourage you all to encourage your kids to come out! I cannot stress the importance in participating in worshiping our Father in Heaven as a community of believers. I am hoping that you all do agree and as such, encourage your kids to come out this Friday. Please join with us in this and have an eternal perspective as we live our lives day-to-day and week-to-week. This Sunday we will be continuing the series on the Holy Spirit, but it will not be me speaking this Sunday. We have decided to give our students a new voice to listen to and our very own Pastor Yun Choi will be preaching for them this upcoming Sunday. Please do keep him in prayer as he prepares this week and please keep your kids in prayer as well!
