This weekend was a very busy one, so I will get started on the recap right away. On Friday night we had the mission send-off service for our Youth Group Cleveland Mission Team. We were able to sing a song of praise for the service and it was a time that was just filled with blessings. If you came out, thank you so much for your support! Continuing on the theme of the Cleveland Mission Team, the following day we had a all-day car wash to raise funds. Not only did the team come out, but there were a few extra youth students that graciously decided to come and help out. All in all, although hot, it was a great day of fundraising and also reaching out to the community and serving them. Thank you for all your prayers and support for that as well. And as usual on Sunday, I continued preaching on the "God is ____" sermon series where I preached on how God is our comfort. Thank you for your prayers about that. And as a special treat, we were able to have a youth group wedding reception for our former youth teacher Esther and her now-husband Elmo! That was a tremendous blessing as well and a great way to see off a teacher that has served so faithfully for the last three years. Please keep their marriage in your prayers!

This upcoming weekend will not be quite as busy, but there is still a lot going on. This upcoming Friday we will be having a praise and prayer/small group hangout time. We will be worshiping and praying all together for a brief portion of the night and then having a time of discussion/prayer within our summer small groups. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would be moving and that there would be Christ-centered depth for each small group. Then on Sunday we will be having the classic service and small group after. But please keep the service, myself, the teachers, and especially your students in prayer during that time. Not that this Sunday is going to be more special than other ones, but I am just reminded of how critical Sunday can be. So I hope we can all do our part in this by lifting it up to the Lord. 

I apologize for the length of this email, but if you have read up to hear, I implore you to read just a little longer. We are going to have a BBQ for the Youth Group on JULY 8th. That is not this upcoming Friday, but the Friday after that. I am informing you about this now because we need the students to get to church by 7pm that day. If you could drop them off at that time, that would be great. But if not, please do not hesitate on emailing me back so that we can set up a ride for them. We really want to take advantage of this time in the summer to grow closer as a community. If you want it, the address of where we will be going is 110 W Camp McDonald Rd, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. It was very close to church.
